| Yesterday's Outage | | If anyone was curious, we were down the other day because there was an electrical explosion in the datacenter, which knocked down three walls. They had to cut power for safety reasons. | | Posted by mAdsKillZ on 6/2/2008 at 7:08 pm | | 13 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| April Fool's LULZ!!!11eleventy | Yeah, not really. The site has finally been restored... basically, we had to move to another server, and Immortal had a full site backup. CPanel was being a pain and causing numerous problems, so we ended up manually restoring the site after all else has failed.
I am honestly sorry about the downtime, I wanted the site back up and running as much as everyone else. | | Posted by mAdsKillZ on 4/1/2008 at 3:38 am | | 18 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| StarCraft 2 Confirmed | | Today, a story was published in the The Korea Times which seems to support the ever-growing mass of rumors surrounding the imminent (and confirmed) game announcement at Blizzard's World Wide Invitational (WWI). | | Posted by KiNd.BuD on 5/9/2007 at 9:55 am | | 32 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| Host Change Complete | Well, the shift to a new host has been completed. Immortal has already made a post in General Discussion for reporting any problems that you may encounter (so post them there).
Basically, we now have more a ton of storage space, and a massive amount of bandwidth to work with. This means that some new possibilities will have opened themselves up.
The restrictions on what we can and cannot do are pretty much up to Immortal.
You may post ideas or suggestions here, or in General. | | Posted by mAdsKillZ on 4/28/2007 at 4:39 pm | | 6 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| StarCraft 2 Rumors Heating Up | A new South Korean source claims that, according to a leak, Blizzard will be announcing StarCraft 2 at the World Wide Invitational, on the 19th of May 2007.
According to a post at Thisisgame.com, Blizzard will announce the sequel for StarCraft in the home land of StarCraft: South Korea. The World Wide Invitational (WWI) is a Blizzard event where top gamers are invited to play Blizzard's games, and that's where the announcement is claimed to be.
Blizzard's strategy for announcing new games have traditionally been by surprising the crowd at one of the major game events. According to Thisisgame, over 100 international media partners have been invited to the World Wide Invitational, and to the possible announcement of a sequel. | | Posted by KiNd.BuD on 4/27/2007 at 1:29 pm | | 4 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| NetNuke Will Be Moving Hosts... | I'm pretty much sick of my current host, after being with them for years. We will be moving hosts (I've already started, it should be done tomorrow afternoon).
We will have much more space and bandwidth, for free, care of Immortal.
After being down for a week, it appears that somehow a few email accounts that I don't use allocated about 5GB of spam and somehow their software allowed it to go past the 25MB limit.
It is likely that this post, along with the rest of the posts as of this writing will not be carried over, unless I want to wait a little while longer to make another DB backup... which I probably will do anyway.
Expect some more downtime (a few hours at most) when I repropogate the domain names.
Sorry about the downtime guys, I truly am. Between all of the stuff I have to deal with, I can barely make time to fix this. Hopefully these problems will be done away with by tomorrow afternoon, which is when I actually have time to sit down and finish this. | | Posted by mAdsKillZ on 4/27/2007 at 3:26 am | | 5 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| Why America Needs a Google Phone | In terms of compatibility with your existing businesses, Google building a phone would be like Chrysler starting an ISP.
But rumors about Google building a phone reveal plenty about the frustrations and desires of the American technorati.

| Man held after ad campaign triggers Boston bomb scare. | Authorities arrested a man in connection with electronic light boards depicting a middle-finger-waving moon man that triggered repeated bomb scares around Boston on Wednesday and prompted the closure of bridges and a stretch of the Charles River.
Meanwhile, police and prosecutors vented their anger at Turner Broadcasting Inc., the parent company of CNN, who said the battery-operated light boards were aimed at promoting the late-night Adult Swim cartoon "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," condemning Turner for not taking proper steps to end the bomb scares earlier and for not issuing an adequate apology to the city. | | Posted by Maveth on 1/31/2007 at 11:55 pm | | 4 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| Sony BMG settles Federal Trade Commission charges over anti-piracy CDs | U.S. regulators said Tuesday that Sony BMG Music Entertainment agreed to reimburse consumers up to $150 for damage to their computers from CDs with hidden anti-piracy software.
According to the Federal Trade Commission, which announced the settlement with the big media company, its anti-piracy software limited the devices on which music could be played to those made by Sony Corp. or Microsoft Corp. It also restricted the number of copies that could be made and monitored consumers' listening habits to send them marketing messages.
The FTC said the software also "exposed consumers to significant security risks and was unreasonably difficult to uninstall." | | Posted by mAdsKillZ on 1/30/2007 at 4:29 pm | | 1 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| Unexpected Downtime | Sorry about the elongated downtime, the host had something going on and decided not to share the details.
They did promise that this will never happen again, so let's see if that holds true. | | Posted by mAdsKillZ on 1/29/2007 at 9:56 am | | 1 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| New Skins -- COMPLETED | Just a note, I cannot add any new skins yet because my host has safe mode enabled, and therefore image packs can't be uploaded. They are unavailable now, so I will have to get ahold of them tomorrow.
Update: All skins have been successfully uploaded. Banners and group icons have not yet been modified. If anyone wishes to play with them and submit them, the PSD's (and some blanks) are available here: http://madskillz.netnuke.net/PSD%20Logo%20Pack.zip
All of the skins have their data in a seperate folder. One of the folders is empty because the logo is not given, so just pull it from the skin if you wish. | | Posted by mAdsKillZ on 1/23/2007 at 8:51 pm | | 2 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| Warning: Forum Software Overhaul Today | I'm going to overhaul the forum software today. I did a software and database backup today, and will be making another one this afternoon once I finish up everything else that I have to do today, at which point the new software will be moved into place.
This means that any posts made at that time may or may not be carried over. This depends on whether or not problems are encountered and I have to put the old software/database back up. This will hopefully not be an issue since I did a little bit of clean-up (read: the Trash Can) so the database is significantly smaller.
There will be a time block of at least a few hours before I sit down and do this, but it will be done tonight. I will post here again when I'm beginning.
Update: I'm trying to get the host to fix a problem on their end. Everything is working fine otherwise (I have a test forum up). Until they fix this, the forum update will be delayed.
Update #2: Host issue resolved, just doing some testing, personal modifications, and so on. | | Posted by mAdsKillZ on 1/23/2007 at 2:13 pm | | 6 Reply(s) :: Reply |

| Microsoft Windows Turns 21 Years Old | Believe it or not Windows is 21 years old on Monday. When it was launched in 1985 the PC market was barely out of it’s infancy, and whatever you may think of Microsoft it is amazing what they Bill Gates & Co have built in such a relatively short time.
Windows has been through many iterations since Windows 1.0 hit the shelves 21 years ago, with the latest and most advanced (and probably the most expensive) Vista due to be launched soon after 5 years of development. | | Posted by Ergot on 11/22/2006 at 1:47 am | | 1 Reply(s) :: Reply |
